After having spent 4 tranquil holidays in Palm Cove we are seriously considering moving here permanently - if we are ever lucky enough to find an affordable property. We think that Palm Cove has plenty to offer for a relaxing time - there is a good choice of accommodation available: anything from ****-star resorts like the Angsana or the Sebel to more moderately priced self-contained units or holiday houses. There is a huge range of restaurants catering to every taste and a couple of nice pubs. The beach seems very tidy, we are not surprised that Palm Cove won the title of the cleanest beach in Australia. The other main advantage of the location is the close proximity to many popular attractions, like the Great Barrier Reef, the Tablelands, the Daintree River,etc.
We will certainly be back,

Hello from Germany,
my wife and I spend 4 times from 1994 to 2001 some days of our Australian Holidays in Palm Cove in the beautiful Angsana Resort (former Alamanda or Juwel of the Reef).
We are looking forward to come the next time to Palm Cove for some days for relaxing.
In our opinion it must be the paradise.

This time last year we were about to embark on our holiday to Queensland. We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Palm Cove and would love to visit again soon. I even managed to catch a few fish off the famous jetty. Love looking at the website as it brings back some lovely memories.

Palm Cove is beautiful.
We stayed at Oasis at Palm Cove and it was great, I would recommend it to everyone.
Can't say the same about the pub across the road from Oasis.
Most unfriendly and unwelcoming pub I have ever been to in my life !!
But everywhere else was fabulous and all the other people were so friendly.

Stayed for one week in Palm Cove. I did my share of travelling but Palm Cove is paradise, wished I could stay there forever. I'm glad I found this page just to pick up some good old memories.

We spent 4 days at Palm Cove and it was quite pretty and relaxing. The only critiscm I have is, that there is too much development going on which is mainly attracting the elderly or young families. We spent 6 days in Port Douglas and we had the best time, as PD caters for every-one. There were all ages of people. If we ever return, we will not be visiting Palm Cove because I think it is only going to get worse which is a real shame as it is a beautiful beach.
The locals are great though.

What a layed back community Palm Cove is, my wife and i are lucky enough to live 20 mins away and by the way fish from the jetty or just walk down it with a beer.... you are sure to meet somebody who is eager to tell you everything this wonderfull place has to offer, so anyone who has not been to Palm Cove you have to come , for you don't know what you are missing out on "JUST COME" :)

Hallo Gerhard,
Seit 1995 fliegen meine Frau und ich jedes Jahr nach Down Under.
Jedes mal verbringen wir zum Abschluss zwischen 10 - 17 Tage in Palm Cove.
Wir haben uns 2002 sogar mal Freitags in der Tavern bei Ross (gibts ja leider nicht mehr in der Form) kennengelernt.
Ich war schon öfters auf den von Dir super aufgebauten Seite.
Jedesmal wenn wir auf diesen Seiten sind, schauen wir nach, ob es etwas Neues aus Palm Cove gibt.
Vielleicht sieht man sich ja mal wieder.

I've heard Palm Cove and Port Douglas as being more recommended than Cairns.
Are there many different tours out to the reef for snorkelling, that would provide variety over a 9 day period?

I had the great pleasure to stay at palme cove during my last trip.
unfortuanaly i made 1 big mistake - i only stayed one night in palm cove :o(
i enjoyed my stay at the paradise on the beach very much ! ! nice place, perfectly located, good value for money :o)
