Very Helpful. It was fantastic that our key was safely left for us at our accommodation as we had a late flight in. Also when leaving, because we had already paid, it was easy and stress free to leave the keys in the apartment.

About Palm Cove | Private Let Holiday Apartments | Where To Stay

Palm Cove - the tropical paradise where the mysterious rainforest meets the grandeur of the Great Barrier Reef. White sandy beaches lined with glorious coconut palms and the year round warm ocean make Palm Cove one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Add the relaxing atmosphere and tropical sunshine and you've got the perfect holiday destination!

Once called Palm Beach, it was a popular weekend destination for Cairns and the Atherton Tableland's people would bring the whole family for their weekend picnic. In the 80's developers and international travel agents discovered the area. Four and five star International hotels followed and Palm Cove became the premier beach holiday destination it is today; for the ultimate vacation.

Just 30 minutes from the Cairns International Airport. All types of holiday accommodation requirements are catered for; from international resorts to fully self-contained holiday apartments; all within walking distance of the beach. During the last few years Palm Cove has risen to become the number one destination in Australia for weddings and spas resorts so on weekends you may just see brides wandering along the beach in flowing wedding dresses.

The wildlife is abundant with lizards, tree frogs, butterflies and large numbers of native birds; Rainbow Lorikeets, cheeky Kookaburras, Cockatoos, Doves, Sunbirds, Finches and more; happily making Palm Cove their preferred home. Treat yourself to a trip to the Great Barrier Reef and experience the fabulous underwater world of tropical sea life and colourful corals where the snorkelling is out of this world. Scuba diving trips are plentiful. Whether you are a certified diver or wish to do a course, there is something to suit you.

Or visit the tropical rainforest, experience the Aboriginal culture, go horse riding, visit one of the many wildlife parks such as Bird World, the Hartleys Crocodile Park or Butterfly World in the local area around Palm Cove.

For the adventure seeker there is a wide range of activities from white water rafting to bungy jumping, from parasailing to sky diving, from the experience of flying in a helicopter on a scenic flight to hot air ballooning; to sailing, fishing, scuba diving and lots more.

Also available is an extensive sports centre with gymnasium, aerobics, squash courts, tennis courts, 25-meter lap pool and sauna. Bicycle hire is available and don't forget the superb Paradise Palms golf course is just a few miles from the beach, the perfect way to make the most of the tropical surroundings.

If relaxation is what you need then look no further than Palm Cove. The soothing sea breeze and relaxing atmosphere will have you feeling laid back and stress free in no time. Take a swim on the beach patrolled by lifeguards, lie in the sun, or if you prefer enjoy the natural shade of one of the many coconut palms that line the beach. A walk along the beach is always a tempting way to take in the picturesque views of the Cove. Why not continue your stroll onto one of the other Cairns Northern beaches villages like Clifton Beach or Trinity Beach just a few minutes away by car or a half hour stroll along the beachfront.

Dining out in Palm Cove is truly an awesome experience, with fine restaurants, bistros and cafes competing to produce the finest cuisine; by combining Australia's finest meats and seafood with the freshest tropical fruit and vegetables. Dine in a tropical garden under the stars, treat yourself to a sizzling seafood buffet, take in a pleasurable a la carte experience on the beachfront, a cozy cafe or just eat Fish 'n Chips on the beach. The choice is yours and one thing is for sure- all will leave you delighted by the tastes of the tropics. The night life in Palm Cove boasts 18 restaurants and bars including a selection of cocktail bars along the beach and the local Surf Lifesaving Club.

While you are here why not have a day or two of shopping in Cairns, at the Kuranda markets or in the beach villages. A relaxing walk along the picturesque Esplanade has much to offer. Stop by at the quaint Village Shopping Center that boasts boutiques, galleries, cafes, a post office plus the general stores. There is also a playground for the children near the beachfront.

The Palm Cove jetty is a fine fishing spot. Palm Cove is truly an experience not to be missed. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway with breathtaking sea views or an action packed holiday for the whole family- this is the place to come and you too will soon realize, there is no place in the world you'd rather be.
