All of the Palm Cove shops are located on the palm fringed beachfront of Williams's esplanade offering stunning views and mostly a nice sea breeze and a small village atmosphere amongst all of the low rise buildings that line the cobble stoned esplanade.

Palm Cove has no street vendors or hawkers but during different times of the year you will experience fun market days and art work shows and displays set up under the 200 year old Melaleuca trees and along the beachfront grasslands to give it more of that village atmosphere.

To walk the whole length of the Palm Cove beachfront shopping strip it would take you approximately 20 minutes based on you not stopping at any shops and you having a basic level of fitness.

Ladies Boutiques

From handmade one off unique dresses for ladies and children in bright vivid colours to fancy designer labels for that classy resort style of dress to the touristy Palm Cove T shirt you are sure to find a little piece for yourself amongst the Palm Cove shops offerings.

Most of the ladies shops are located in the middle of the Palm Cove village surrounded conveniently by restaurants and coffee shops for when you need to have a rest and a good pick me up coffee or fresh juice to keep you going on your Palm Cove shopping mission.

Other ladies boutiques are located north on the far end of the Palm Cove esplanade and offer up some fabulous shoes and handbags to match your new outfits at very reasonable prices.

So you packed your own luggage and forgot a few items? Well worry not as you have a nice selection of menswear stores in Palm Cove not too many mind you as shopping in Palm Cove is mostly for the lucky ladies.

Most of the menswear stores are located on the southern end of the Palm Cove village and offer foot wear, shorts, trousers, shirts, under apparel and swim wear. The menswear range goes from daily resort style casual to the up market dinner trousers and shirt.

Some of the ladies boutiques on the far northern end of Palm Cove also carry men's shorts, shirts and footwear

Now we are talking this is what Palm Cove is all about. The luxury of lazing about on the beautiful Palm Cove beach or your fancy resort swimming pool in your cozy with a good book and cold glass of your choice.

Palm Cove swimwear can be purchased all along the Palm Cove shopping strip for women, children and men. They even have little hats and sun shirts to match with thongs for the little kiddies

Souvenir shops

Well you always need a little trinket to take home as a reminder of your holiday and something with Palm Cove plastered all over it is a great option as they are not normally that expensive.

If you are into collecting souvenir tea towels or silver spoons then the souvenir shops in Palm Cove have what you are looking for. Located in the centre of the village just upstairs from The Tour Specialists office you will find several shops that carry Palm cove and Cairns souvenirs.

Art Galleries

Its fun to visit art galleries when you get the time and especially when you are in another country you can see how that countries landscapes and people are depicted by the local artisans.

Palm Cove has a few little boutique art galleries that showcase Aboriginal art works and landscapes, portraits and pieces that depict life in Cairns tropical north Queensland and the beauty of the region surrounding Palm Cove.

There is one art gallery on the southern end of the Palm Cove Esplanade and one on the northern end.

Post Office

The post office is situated in the middle of the village just down the side street behind The Tour Specialists office. The post office opens at 9.00 am Monday to Friday and Saturday 9.00 am to 12.00 midday.

Here you can use the photocopying services and jump on line and use one of the two computers for access to the outer world via the internet.

Internet Café

Palm Cove Queensland Australia is a very small quaint village so as such does not have the population to support an internet café year round so the post office and the ice cream shop on the southern end of the village offer computers for access to the internet otherwise your holiday accommodation may have wireless to make it more convenient for you.

Mini Supermarkets

There are two little convenience stores in Palm Cove offering grocery items, minor medicinal products, newspapers, toys for the kids, magazine books and more.

One of these is located in the centre of the village upstairs and the other further south in the village attached to a Palm Cove hotel.

Beauty Salons

Hairdressers and beauty salons are dotted all over Palm Cove along the beachfront esplanade and inside the hotels and resorts. Palm Cove is a hugely popular wedding destination so you will need to make sure you pre-book all the members of your wedding party in as soon as you have all of your wedding plans in place.

Palm Cove Spas

Make sure that when you book your holiday accommodation with us that you pre-book some spa time to ensure you do not miss out on some luxurious pampering especially if it's your wedding, anniversary, special event or if you are just a spa junkie like we are.

There are five major spas located within Palm Cove Resorts all offering differing types of treatments and products and there are few independent beauty salons come spas that offer massage as well.

During the busy season these spas are very much in demand as they have the enviable reputation as being some of the best in the world.

No need for you to arrive and not have some fresh milk and other goodies in your holiday accommodation. Just pre-order and have your groceries and alcohol delivered before you arrive.

Baby equipment like prams can be hired to make travelling thru airports just that little bit easier and beach toys to keep the little ones amused on the beachfront are a fantastic idea.
